These seeds are about much more than adding a splash of colour to the garden. Through Rewilding Rainford, Myst~Tree has given away hundreds of wildflower seed packs to schools, youth groups and community organisations, helping more children get involved with nature and creating extra patches of habitat for local wildlife.

Wildflower Meadow Seeds

£3.50

Quantity

This 30g bag contains pure wildflower seed, with no grass, barley or sand added as filler. The mix includes species such as Purple Tansy, Cornflower, Red Clover, Field Poppy, Corncockle, Black Medic, Sainfoin and Gypsophila, alongside additional flowering species. Wildflowers provide food and habitat for honeybees, bumblebees, solitary bees, butterflies, moths, beetles and many other insects, helping support biodiversity throughout the wider food web.
At a sowing rate of around 1 to 2g per square metre, one 30g bag can cover approximately 15 to 30 square metres depending on how densely it is sown. Whether you create a whole meadow or just give a forgotten corner of the garden back to nature, every extra patch of flowering habitat helps.

Best sown in March to April or September. Clear existing weeds, prepare a firm level seed bed, scatter the seed evenly, lightly rake or press it into the surface, and water during prolonged dry spells while seedlings establish. Wildflowers generally prefer poorer soils, so avoid adding fertiliser.
