Possibly the most-used bit of beekeeping equipment in my toolbox after the hive tool, and you will see one appear in plenty of my YouTube videos. It is particularly useful if you are a bit cack-handed when picking up queens, like me.

Honeybee Queen Catcher

The clear tube makes it much easier to pick up and temporarily hold the queen safely without trying to grab her directly between your fingers. Guide her gently into the transparent chamber, then close the soft sponge stopper behind her.

Lightweight, easy to carry in a bee-suit pocket and brilliant for queen marking, moving queens between frames or simply giving you a safer way to handle her when your fingers are not quite as delicate as you would like to imagine.
