Bee Pollen

Bees collect tiny grains of pollen from flowers throughout spring and summer and carry them back to the hive packed onto their hind legs. Different plants produce different colours, so a single pack can contain an incredible mixture of yellows, oranges, creams, browns and even purples. Every batch reflects the flowers the bees have been visiting.

Bee pollen has been eaten by people for generations and has become increasingly popular with those looking to add more traditional, minimally processed foods to their diet. Its flavour is naturally floral, slightly earthy and completely unique to the plants represented in each batch.

Try sprinkling a small amount over yoghurt, porridge, granola, smoothie bowls or fruit, or simply try a few granules on their own.

Bee pollen can cause allergic reactions, particularly in people sensitive to pollen or bee products. Start with a very small amount. Not suitable for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you have allergies, take medication such as warfarin, or have any concerns, seek medical advice before consuming.
